Dinosaur Songs

By Robert J. “Bob” Learner’58

Dinosaur Songs by Robert J. Bob Learner'58 This songbook engages elementary school learners in the sights and sounds of when “monstrous lizards” roamed the earth. Many of Learner’s songs feature original tunes paired with poems and other texts by famous writers and scientists, while others resulted from collaborations with public schools in Learner’s native Battle Creek, Michigan.

A longtime science and history educator, most recently at the Kingman Museum of Natural History in Battle Creek, Learner hopes the book will help young people talk about extinction, species, and the fossil record.

The book also includes beautiful illustrations by his wife, Joanna.

Search Robert J. Learner on all streaming platforms to find recordings of the
songs, or contact the magazine at belmag@ynsinuo.com to purchase a copy of
Learner’s songbook.
